Mary Teresa Parillo

She was a member of the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Terri graduated from Greenville High School. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, GA and graduated from Furman University.

She taught at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School for 30 years. While there, she served 10 years as Assistant Principal. Terri was named to “Who’s Who Among American Teachers” and to “Outstanding Young Women of America”. Upon retirement, Terri was Emeritus Member of the School Board at OLR Catholic School and served as a volunteer at Birthright of Greenville and Meals on Wheels.

Terri is survived by her husband, Jack Parillo; son, John Parillo and wife Donna of Atlanta; her 2 daughters; Mari Pat Cely and husband Sammy and Jena Wittner and husband Clint; grandchildren, Sarah Parillo, Jack Parillo and Mari Grace Parillo; Caroline Cely and William Cely; Mari Lydia Abshire. She was predeceased by her brother: Dr. William Garoni.

Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Monday, August 9th at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School, 2 James Dr., Greenville, SC 29605.
