Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clyde O. Harris; one grandson, Jeremy S. Norris; two brothers: Kay Waters and Rick Lowe; and two sisters: Hazel Tucker and Betty Ann Crocker.
She was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church and retired from a 35-year career at J.L. Mann High School. Lois most enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a nurturing and compassionate nature, a desire to provide care and comfort to those who needed it, and a generous spirit that welcomed children of all ages into her life and home.
Lois is survived by two daughters, Debbie L Norris (Oliver Hampton) and Jennie L Martin, one grandson, Tyler Martin, two great granddaughters, Lauren Harden (Eli) and Sophie Riddle, and one great great grandson, Abel Harden. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 1:00PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville SC 29609, followed by a service at 2:00PM.
