Marvin Russell Cobb

Marvin Russell Cobb, 83, of Taylors, SC passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Born November 14, 1932 in Westminster, SC, Marvin was a son of the late Jordan Hughes Cobb and Claudia Collins Cobb. He graduated from Clemson College with a degree in electrical engineering in 1961. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 30 years of government service. Marvin was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors. He was a loving and giving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Guynelle Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Erith B. Cobb; a son, Paul Cobb (Dorothy); a daughter, Susan McNally (Martin); a brother, Herron Cobb (Betty); a sister, Faye Hart; 2 grandsons, Valentin and Evan Cobb; and many special nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Marvin’s life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 3pm at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
