Marie retired from Sears after working there for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, her church friends and being in her yard. She was known for being a sweet and humble woman.
She is survived by her children Carol Laderer (David), Wayne Evans (Dora), Doris Moran, Gordon Evans (Teresa), Kim Clark (Roger); 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Evans.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 W. Main St. Taylors, SC 29687 for the XYZ program.
Services for Marie will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately after the funeral.
