A native of upstate New York, Lori and her two daughters moved to Simpsonville in the early nineties. Lori worked as a dental assistant in the office of Dr. Greg Ayres and ended her career with Dr. William Stuart. It was while working at Dr. Ayres's office that she started dating and fell in love with her husband James. From the time of their first date until her death, they remained committed to one another.
Lori was funny, could be silly, and had the ability to communicate with others and make them feel at ease. And as adept as she was in that regard, she preferred to spend her time with those that she knew and loved the best. Lori would prefer to find a "treasure" rather than spend money on anything new. Metal detecting and excursions to Goodwill brought her great joy.
Lori must have had a little "ferret" in her blood because she loved and was attracted to shiny objects and loved to embellish her common and mundane acquisitions.
She loved her brothers and sisters and was loyal and supportive of her entire family, and they loved and supported her. She was the designated dessert girl at all family functions. Like many families, Lori and her daughters had their highs and lows but their devotion to each other was never questioned. They communicated regularly and shared their struggles and triumphs. Lori also loved and was loved by her second family--James's children, who accepted her into their family with open arms. But her greatest loves and greatest devotion was to her husband James and grandson Joseph. She loved them to a fault.
Lori loved the sun and the beach, ironic for someone who hated to be hot. Trips to Florida and Hilton Head were always memorable and enjoyable yet were experienced far too infrequently.
Finally, those who knew Lori were enriched for it. She wasn't argumentative or confrontational. She was just a good, kind, loyal, and genuine person who didn't seek attention but lavished it on others.
She will be sorely missed but reunited one day with those who share her Savior.
Lori is survived by her husband James, Martin Joseph Andre (grandson), Dana Densmore and Rachel Both (daughters), Harriet Mae D'Agostino (mother), Cheryll FitsEmons, Deborah Miles, Kathleen Hudson (sisters), Jason and David D'Agostino (brothers), and Brooksi, Salem, and Shiloh (step-children).
