Lee D. Long Jr.

Lee inspired a love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors to his three sons at an early age. Starting from the basement of his home in 1992 he built Long & Sons Utility Company. His sons will carry on his legacy personally and professionally. While working countless long hours, Lee managed to get his associates degree from Greenville Technical College in Mechanical Drafting. Lee always wanted a Bachelor's Degree from Clemson University so there was no question where his three sons would go after high school. Lee couldn't have been more proud with all three of his sons having Clemson degrees in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business.

Lee is survived by his wife of 41 years, Monty Long; his son Lee D. Long III (BJ); his son Hunter Long (Michelle); and his son Trent Long (Whitney); his nephew Dustin Timmons, his grandchildren Lee D. Long, IV, Savannah Beth Long, Chloe Grace Long and Walker Henry Long.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Bonnie Delores Timmons.

A funeral service for Lee will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC, with a visitation starting at 2:00 pm.
