Kathryn Hawkins Gillaspie passed on to heaven after declining health on November 4, 2012. She was 77. Born December 28, 1934, in Wellford, SC to Minnie Plemmons and Guy Hawkins, she was a member of Calvary First Baptist Church. A loving mother of David Collins of Pelzer, Barry (Lenn) Collins of Cleveland, Danny (Sharon) Collins of Travelers Rest, Carolyn Hudson of Travelers Rest, Ben Collins of Travelers Rest; grandmother of nine, and a great-grandmother of seventeen; she was predeceased by five brothers Henry Hawkins, Pat Hawkins, Carl Lee Hawkins, Orrin Hawkins and Dick Hawkins;and one sister Anne Lou Belcher. She is survived by two sisters Judy Cramer and Lib Penland; two brothers Paul Hawkins and Jack Hawkins.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 7 from 10:00am-12:00 noon with funeral services at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately afterwards at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
