Judy Curtis Wynn went home to be with her Savior on April 22, 2024, in Greenville, South Carolina, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Born on June 28, 1961, to Warren and Margaret Mack, Judy touched the lives of many during her time on earth.
Judy graduated from Bob Jones Academy and received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Clearwater Christian College. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching in the Greenville County public school system, and her impact as the beloved music teacher at Welcome Elementary School will be cherished by her students and colleagues for years to come.
She was a devoted member of White Oak Baptist Church, finding joy in singing in the choir and participating in her small group and Sunday school class. Judy's love for life was evident in everything she did, from family vacations at the beach to her creative dedication to directing her students' choral programs every year.
Judy is survived by her children, Aubrey (John) and Jay Jr, her brothers Steve (Karen, and children Andrew and Alaina) and Gary (Gayla), and her sister Sharon. She predeceases her husband Jay, to whom she was married for over 25 years.
Judy's passionate spirit and radiance for life will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family, friends, and students. May her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held at White Oak Baptist Church on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greenville, SC, on April 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM. In Judy's memory, flowers may be sent to Mackey Funerals at Woodlawn Memorial Park or donations may be made to Compassion International Inc, an organization close to her heart that benefits children in impoverished countries worldwide.
