Joyce Ann Smith

She and Bryce had three children, Susan, Phillip and Sharon. Between the three children are 7 grandchildren; Jonathan Payton Bawkum, Joshua Phillip Smith, Nicole Elizabeth Chisari, Heather Elaine Smith, Meredith Lynn Smith, Robert Christopher Good, Austin Gregory Skey and 8 great grandchildren. She was a believer in Christ, devoted wife, mother and grandmother with determination, strength, a kind heart and plenty of love.

Her family will always remember her Lays Baked Ham at Christmas dinners, her green beans and her flowers in the yard. Her grandchildren will remember her sweet songs, “Jesus loves me”, I got the Joy” and many others. She adored little children and babies and loved her Blue Bell Ice Cream!

Joyce Smith lived what may seem as an ordinary life but to those who knew and loved her know her life was significant of so much more. Dementia/Alzheimer’s tried to take it away but she fought it to the end. She taught us all how to love, fight and grow through all and to remain humble.

A graveside service for Joyce will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
