Joyce Avery Powers

Born in Pelham, SC, she was a daughter of the late Will and Lottie Burgess Avery. She was a member of The Way Christian Fellowship in Greer and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was survived by her son, Ronald Powers (Christine) of Greer; two grandchildren, Shannon Powers (Kristen) of Woodruff and April Clayton (Buzz) of Woodruff; and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Braxton, Harper, and Hadleigh Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Powers; and her six siblings, J.P. Avery, Martha Burns, George Avery, Daniel "Boone" Avery, Boyce "Bud" Avery, and Paul Avery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 1:30pm until 2:30pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home.
