Jimmie D. Smith of Greenville, SC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 with her children by her side. Born in Fountain Inn, SC on October 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Cora Bell Davis. She was predeceased by her husband: James Leroy Smith, Sr. on April 25, 2013. She retired from Macy's and was an active member of Lee Road Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Cynthia Lynne and Jesse Wright of Travelers Rest; Angela Yvonne and Derek Weast of Greenville; Cathy and Denny Owen of Easley; Barbara Ann and David Fisher of Greer; one son: James Leroy Smith, Jr. of Greenville; eight grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Edna and Jack Ashmore of Mauldin and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:30 am at Lee Road Baptist Church, Greenville with burial following the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the church.
