She was born on December 19, 1953 in Clemson, S.C. to the late D.C. and Velmah Alexander Price. She grew up in Greer, S.C., where she graduated from Greer High School in 1971 and then attended Furman University. She also attended Limestone University and graduated from there in 1975. After graduating from college, Jeannie spent thirty-seven enjoyable years as a teacher at Greer Middle School, where she taught U.S. History, South Carolina History, and led Battle of the Brains.
She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and a member of the Joyce Scott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by a son, Gary Gresham (Katelin), and a daughter, Heather Gresham (Jacob). She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Jackson, Peyton, and Carson Gresham and Mackenzie Elliott, two brothers, David Price (Elaine), Bob Price (Jonie), and nephews and nieces, Ethan Price, Katelin Price, Travis Gresham, Jesse Gresham, Ivy Jean Gresham, and beloved family friends Keith and Debbie Castor.
Visitation will be at 1:00 on Friday, October 14 at Mackey, Woodlawn Memorial Park. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the chapel at Mackey, Woodlawn Memorial Park, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Price, Bob Price, Jackson Gresham, Carson Gresham, Ethan Price, Keith Castor, and Erich Sturgill.
