Jeanette E. Burrell

For the believer in Jesus, to be absent from the body is to be present with Him. Our mom, Jeanette E. Burrell left this world peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Sat. Dec. 29, 2012, at 82 years of age, after a long battle with Huntington's disease. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Butch Looney, in Lexington, SC. Donna and Butch Looney were amazing caregivers down to her last breath. Jeanette was born #9 of 12 children to Robert B. Leslie & Addie Jennings Leslie in Pickens County, SC in 1930. Our mom was preceded in death by 2 sons and 1 daughter, Jimmy Arthur Burrell, Ernest Aaron Burrell and Wilma Martha Burrell. Wanda Sweazy, the eldest living daughter, lives in Shelbyville, KY. Jeanette has the following grandchildren: Tammy & Chad Burrell: Tony Costello, Leslie Bagwell Sheppard & Levi Burrell: Brad, Michael, & Charlton Sweazy; Jimmy Ronk & Brittany Ronk Compton: Andrew & Melissa Looney; followed by 16 great grandchildren. The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Loraine Lewis for the care she gave to our mother. She was truly a blessing to us. Most of all we thank GOD for all these blessings.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
