Janet Mae Fusmer Jones, 95, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 15, 2019. She was born in Akron, OH on February 21, 1924 to Frazier and Lena Fusmer. She was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Russell “Larry” Jones. She is survived by her children, Linda Haught (Tom) of Greenville, SC; Bonnie Secrest (Larry) of Lima Peru; Carl Jones (Susan) of Seneca, SC; and Kimberly Coard (Jon) of Weilerbach, Germany. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Throughout her lifetime she was involved in various children’s ministries. In recent years she was a member of Trinity Bible Church of Greer, SC and Calvary Baptist Church of Simpsonville, SC.
A visitation will be held Saturday October 19, 2019 from 9:15 am until 10:15 am followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am with Reverend Greg Mazak officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, SC.
Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive will be assisting the Jones family.
