Gerald Ashley Sr., age 80, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Gerald was born in Columbia, SC on January 18, 1942 to Virginia and Charles Ashley.
Gerald was a retired Master Chief in the United States Navy. He served his family and his country very well. He was the best father, grandfather, husband and friend anyone could ever ask for and he will be missed greatly.
Gerald is survived by his son Jerry Ashley, his daughter-in-law Ashlea, and his granddaughter Paisley Ashley.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 years Maria Ashley.
A funeral service for Gerald will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29609. A committal service will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
