George Sink

George Frank Sink III, age 75, of Greenville, the son of George Frank Sink II and Leila McMillan Sink, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday October 16th, 2022, after a brave battle against Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

George was born on October 26th, 1946, in Charleston, SC. He received his degree in Business Marketing from the University of South Carolina. George went on to pursue a career in both the state and federal government, retiring after 30 years with the Social Security Administration.

George loved spending time at the beach with family and friends, cheering for his Gamecocks, competing in many different adult league sports, and spending time working in his garden.

George was a regular attendee of North Hills Community Church in Taylors, SC. He enjoyed long chats with his son on theological topics.

In the last year, George was cared for by his loving wife, Helyn, and family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Helyn Sink; are his three children: Keri Myers (Josh), Kelly Sink, and Kevin Sink (Christi); two grandchildren, Cole and Alec Myers and three great-grandchildren, one sister, Kitty Dixon as well as many nieces and nephews . He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 11:00am-11:30am at North Hills Community Church, 4952 Edwards Road Taylors, SC 29687. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:30am.
