George Thomas Brissey, Sr. passed away November 19, 2022. He was the son of the late George P. and Annie May Stewart Brissey.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years Jane Graves Brissey; daughter Jan Jones (rick); six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sons: George Thomas Brissey, Jr, Robert Brian Brissey and Steve Graves Brissey.
Tom was a Greenville, SC native and graduate from Greenville High School. He serve in the Navy reserves and retired from the Greenville Sheriff’s office.
Tom was lovingly referred to as “Pop” by his family. He had a passion for history, collecting, and archiving. He was an active member of the Greenville Native Group and was affectionately given the nickname, “Mr. Greenville.”
