Gary Wayne Simmons

He was a Past Master of the Ancient Freemasons Taylors Lodge 345 and Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Downey Chapter 275. He spent 21 years serving his country proudly as Sergeant First Class in the Army with the Corp of Engineers. Gary was a loving and devoted husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Patricia Lee Simmons, a son, Jason Matthew Simmons and a brother, Robert Simmons. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Lee Simmons (Jonathan); a son, Brian Richard Simmons (Danielle); 3 sisters, Linda Lee; Patricia Wilson (Dan); Carolyn Grubb; and Kimberley Dooley (Mike); 1 brother, Ricky Simmons; 5 grandchildren, Emma Simmons, Heather Simmons, Bailey Miller, Sara Miller, and Jordan Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 19, 2024 in the Chapel at Mackey at Woodlawn Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609.
