I met Fred 4 years ago. My boyfriend Danny (Joe Dan) Elliott lived in the little house behind his house. Fred would come over and we would have great talks. He always talked about his daughters. I live in Greenville so we connected very well. He was such a sweet guy. When Danny moved a mile away Fred would stop by and bring mail that was still coming to his house. I was always glad to see him. My deepest sympathy and condolences to you both.

I was saddened to see the passing of Dr. Fred.  I worked with him at Fairfield Memorial Hospital for quite a few years. He was always kind, straightforward and caring.  I loved working with your dad, as I transcribed his dictations. He cared about what he did and the patients themselves. I witnessed, many times, him taking the time out of his busy schedule to reassure patients and speak with them about their concerns. He was truly a wonderful man, physician, and friend. He will truly be missed. May you both find your wonderful memories to be hugs for your hearts. You are in our prayers.

I worked with Dr. Fred at Fairfield.  I could always count on getting a laugh out of Dr. Fred.  He was an excellent doctor who cared for his patients and employees above nothing else.  We shared great times and some tough ones when it came to dealing with my loved ones.  Dr. Fred, may you rest in peace.  I have the family in my prayers.  He loved his girls dearly.

So sorry to see Doc has passed. I remember working with him at SMH years ago. I was there when he came to SHM and talked with him at Fairfield.
Super nice guy.  Everybody loved him. He talked about his family always.

I was so sorry to leaRN of your father's deatb.  I worked with him at Self Regional for years.  I thought of alog of him.  He was one of a kind and will certainly be missed.

Brooke and Blair,  you know what your dad meant to me. His friendship was very special. I could always depend on things we shared to be confidential. He was an excellent radiologist. The patient was always his primary focus. He was a very caring person. I will miss him greatly. He loved you both and was very proud of you both. May God comfort you in this difficult time as I am sure He will. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to call on me.

Brooke and Blaire I am so heartbroken to hear this. Y’all know you had a good daddy. I worked with Dr. Fred many years ago in Radiology at SRH. I transcribed his dictation. And just got to spend time with him last year through his sickness. He hadn’t changed a bit. Always worried about the other person more than himself.  He was such a pleasure to work with especially on the weekends. He made work fun. He talked about you girls all the time.  He will be missed by many. Will be praying for y’all!!

Dr. Fred was a wonderful man. He was also a very outstanding radiologist. He really cares about all of us at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  He will be forever missed.
