Dorothy Nash Daniel, 93, formerly of Chapman Road, currently of Boyce Ave., died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Born in Charleston, to the late Howard Buford and Jeynelle Vaughn Nash, Dorothy was a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.
She married her late husband, James Fleming Daniel, III, in 1947 and lived in Atlanta, GA before moving to South Carolina in 1969.
Dorothy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, for over thirty years.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James Howard Daniel and Kay McLaurin Daniel of Greenville, SC; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura Daniel DeMarcus and Larry Alan DeMarcus of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren, Dr. James Howard Daniel, Jr. (Kelly), Dr. Stephen Clay Daniel (Mallory), Mrs. Ellen Daniel Stevens (Alan), Mr. Clay Daniel DeMarcus and Mr. Glenn Padgett DeMarcus; and four great-grandchildren, Fleming Meadors Daniel, Howard Herndon Daniel, Charlotte McLaurin Daniel and Rivers Daniel Stevens.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in the Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday, at the home of Mrs. Daniel’s son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Kay Daniel.
