Christopher Harold Koon, 80 of Gaffney, SC passed away on March 17, 2012. Born in Seffner, FL, he was the son of the late Whitner W. and Sarah Jane Chastain Koon.
He retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service from 1950 – 1971 and having tours in Korea and Vietnam Wars.
Mr. Koon is survived by his wife: Helen Lockskin Koon of Gaffney, SC and a daughter: Dixie L. Henderson; two grandsons: Christopher Koon and Daniel Koon and a daughter-in-law: Glenda Koon, all of Memphis, TN.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home.
