Carolyn Cooper Benson

Carolyn was a former Deacon and Sunday school teacher at South Venice Baptist Church in Florida, an employee of Sears, Roebuck in Dedham, Massachusetts for over 25 years and a dedicated wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, John W. Benson of Venice, Florida; sons, David of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Douglas and Travis of Eliot, Maine; six grandchildren, Melissa Kelly of Graham, North Carolina, Megan Haley of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, Aidan Hughes of Needham, Massachusetts, Emily Benson of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Adam Benson of Savannah, Georgia and Joshua Benson of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three great grandchildren Lily, Lauryn and Patrick; and sister, Martha Caviness of Sanford, North Carolina.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at South Venice Baptist in Venice, Florida at a later date. She will join her beloved husband at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
