Carol Louise Brannen Tate, 65, Of Easley S.C., wife of James W. Tate, died peacefully on March 14, 2014. Born in Greenville S.C., daughter of the late Malcolm D. and Esther D. Brannen, Mrs. Tate was a devoted military wife, loving mother and faithful church member of Open Arms Community Church. Surviving is her husband, James W. Tate, sons: Eric, Mike and Mark Tate; sister: Jean Brannen, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Joya L. (Tate) Humphreys. Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 1 – 3 PM followed immediately by services at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville S.C.
