Born in Gaffney SC, she was the widow of John W. Patterson and daughter of the late Robert Taylor Osment and Edna Lee McDaniel Osment. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, trips to the beach, and dining out. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Clemson Tigers. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends and was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three children, Susan Compton (Stan) of Anderson SC, John Patterson of Greenville SC, and Traci Cooke of Greer SC; four grandchildren, Megan Coker (Chris), Cassidy Wagner (Rob), Robbie Patterson, and Reed Cooke (Allison); four great-grandchildren, Evan Coker, Colleen Wagner, Breccan Wagner, and Emma Grace Coker as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Junius Osment, J.W. Osment, Nesbitt Osment, Jack Osment, and Taylor Lee Osment; three sisters, Katherine O. Gibson, Evelyn O. McCraw, and Geneva O. Kitchens.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday December 20th, 2024 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn, 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC 29609. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Marty Price officiating.
