Betty Jane Twito McAlister, 91, of Greenville, SC was taken peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was born in Kiester, Minnesota. Her family moved to Greenville, SC in 1972 where the family was very active at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. She offered hospitality to many through Sunday School, the Women's and Widow's Ministry. Betty is survived by three children Gail (Mike) Simmons, David (Pam) McAlister, and Lauretta (Tim) Cross; seven grandchildren; Brad McAlister, Jennifer (Tyler) Compton, Michelle Simmons, Carrie McAlister, Michael (Misty) Simmons, Ryan Cross and Kevin Cross; five great grandchildren; Ava Cross, Alexander Compton, Olivia Cross, Anna-Jane Compton and Cora Simmons; three Step great grandchildren; Zach Sarkela, Pierce Sarkela and Preston Sarkela. Betty was predeceased in death 31 years ago by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 35 years, Earl, who she was eagerly waiting to be reunited with; parents Archie and Laura Twito; and a brother Archie Twito. The family will receive friends Friday, April 17, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville, SC with a celebration of her life at 1:00 o'clock. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Curtis DuBose. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, South Carolina.
