She was the daughter of the late W. J. and Hazel Williamson McLaughlin. She was married to the late Ret. USAF Col. Gilbert T. Perry, Sr. Beatrice served her family as a stay-at-home mother and homemaker for many years while also writing for various military publications. She also volunteered by knitting hats and scarves for the homeless and was an avid bridge player throughout her life. In her downtime, she loved to read.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Judy McCain, Tracy McCommick (Jim), Ret. USAF Col. Gilbert T. Perry, Jr. (Nancy), and Jim Perry (Shirley); her grandchildren, Curtis McCain, Harlan McCain, Colleen Cooper, Jennifer Thomasson, Ellen Hopkins, Daniel Perry, Sam Perry, Lindsey Perry Smith, and Jami Perry Temple; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Beatrice is predeceased by her brothers, Wellington McLaughlin and James McLaughlin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 13th at 1:00pm at Bush River Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC.
