Annie Elizabeth Pabst, 92, of Greenville, SC, passed peacefully on November 10, surrounded by her family. Born in the township of White Oak, NC, she was the last remaining member of her family of origin and was the widow of Lavern H. Pabst.
Annie Elizabeth is survived by four children, Cindy Field of Waterloo, SC, Karen Vann of Asheville, NC, Cherie Keese of Pickens, SC and Jeff (Jamie) Field of Laurens, SC. She also leaves a lasting legacy through her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren all of whom she dearly loved.
Annie Elizabeth was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, where she married the love of her life, Lavern Pabst, and enjoyed the company of close friends. Having retired from Dayco International at 65, she and Lavern relished family gatherings, special trips and evenings out at the Hejaz Shrine Club. In recent years, she was a resident at The Gables on Pelham, where she loved reading, working puzzles, viewing the trees from her apartment window, and engaging with the gracious staff who were so kind to her. And she never missed her evening news with Lester Holt.
Annie Elizabeth will have her eternal rest in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour’s Memorial Gardens Columbarium following services inside the church. Service will begin at 1:00 pm on November 26, 2024. Visitation between noon and 1:00 pm in the church foyer.
The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff at Hospice of the Upstate for making these last weeks comfortable for Mom (Mema and MeMe), allowing the family to enjoy quality time with her.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Greenville, SC, or Hospice of the Upstate.
