Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Dewey and Agnes Susan Hudson Arledge.
Ann worked as a dietician with the Greenville County School System and was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons: Phillip Harold Charping and his wife Mary of Taylors; Gregory Kirk Charping of Greer; and Tim James Charping of Taylors; three brothers: Samuel Arledge and his wife Pat of Livermoor, CA; Arthur Arledge of CA; Ronald H. Arledge and his wife Ophelia of Jacksonville, FL; Milton T. Arledge of Taylors; a sister: Jenny Arledge Morris and her husband Joel of Duncan; four grandchildren: Candace Charping, Charles Charping, Erik Zachary Charping, and Alexander James Charping.
Ann is predeceased by her husband: James J. Charping.
Funeral service will be Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00- 3:00 pm in the funeral home.
