Angela Thompson

Angela was the only daughter of Maggie Green Thompson and Romney Franklin Thompson. She was born on October 5, 1950 and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Her childhood was spent in Atlanta and at “the Farm” in Rochelle, GA where she was raised by not only her mother but a multitude of beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was a 1968 Graduate of Grady High School, where she was a cheerleader and beloved by all of her classmates. She went on to graduate from the University of Georgia and was a lifelong fan of her Bulldogs.

Angela lived in Greenville, SC with her two girls and began a very successful career in Radio sales. She worked for many popular radio stations for 25+ years and during these years formed a multitude of respected professional relationships as well as close friends who became family to her for the remainder of her life.

Angela is survived by her daughters Kristen Anderson Minaudo (Andy) and Erin Anderson Moore (Dan). Undoubtedly, the people in her life who she was the most proud of and cherished every moment with were her granddaughters Maggie, Leah & Avery Moore and Campbell Minaudo. They were the biggest joy and brightest lights in her life.

Angela will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Angela will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
