Mildred Mae Francher Wolf

Mildred Mae Wolf, age 97 of Union City, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 8:20 P.M. at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Mildred was born October 17, 1914 in Lewisburg, Indiana to the late Robert & Emma Francher.

Mildred graduated from Marion College which is now known as Indiana Wesley in 1933, Miami University in 1942 and Ball State University in 1958. She taught elementary education for 47 years. In 1935 – 1942 she taught in one room schools in Braffetsville and Greenville, Ohio township. She taught in Hollansburg, Ohio, Randolph Eastern, Winchester Schools and Mississinawa Valley in Union City, Ohio.

She was a member of the Hillgrove Federated Church, Indiana Retired Teachers, Ohio Retired Teachers, NEA, Delta Kappa Gamma, Tri Kappa Sorority and the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents Mildred was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Willard Dow Wolf. They were married December 24, 1937. Also by a sister and brother in law, Dorothea and John Brumbaugh of Bradford, Ohio.

She if survived by her nephews Keith (Joyce) Brumbaugh of Naperville, Illinois & Robert Eugene Brumbaugh, her nieces Marcia Keegan of Namderville, LA. Judy Melching of Manderville, LA. & Phyllis (Robert) Miller of Richmond, IN. Close friends William & Shirley Westfall and Margaret Orth.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home 1499 North Broadway, Greenville, Ohio with the Reverend Roberta Hart Officiating. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery, Union City, Indiana. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. till the time of service.
