Kay has attended a few churches throughout her life, Pitsburg Church of the Brethren, Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, and Greenville Church of the Brethren. She loved to listen to music and was so gifted at playing piano. She was also a member of the choir. She was known for her kindness and always being ready and willing to help others in need. She would quite literally give you the shirt off of her back if she thought you needed it. While living at the BRC she had noticed that another resident was looking a little cold, so Kay got up and gave her the sweater she was wearing. That really speaks to how loving and caring she was. Her family remembers, many times Kay and Dick would host homemade ice cream parties at their home in the Brethren’s Retirement Community. Kay is happy now to be with Jesus and her loving husband and she will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, in Clayton, Ohio on Tuesday, November 12th, from 4 to 7 PM. There will be a private family burial for Kay at a later date.
