He was preceded in death by brothers: Jerome, Robert, Maurice, Horace and George Morrow: sisters Teresa Cundiff and Rose Marie Morrow: grandson Alexander Morrow.
Dan graduated from Arcanum High School in 1953 and enlisted in the Air National Guard, serving 8 years. He also began a formal Tool & Die apprenticeship program at Delco Products which included a 4 hour program of progressive math and toll design each week. After completing the apprenticeship, he worked several years as a toolmaker. Later in his career he became a manufacturing engineer, and in 1995 retired from the Textron Corp.
Dan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville, Ohio. He became a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in 1954, served as Grand Knight and District Deputy and continued to be very active with the council. In 1992 he joined the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus with St. Gasper del Buffalo Assembly.
Dan is survived by his wife Martha (Vanata) Morrow of Greenville, Ohio. They were married April 26, 1958. He is also survived by his son Daniel J (Janet) Morrow of Whitman, MA: daughters Christina (Patrick) Mugridge of Knoxville, TN; Lori (Michael) Ayette of Tipp City, OH: 6 grandchildren: 5 great-grandchildren: sisters Leona (Jim) Nellis; Julie Tracy: as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dan and Martha enjoyed cruising, having traveled to several Caribbean locations. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, pitching horseshoes, ballroom dancing, and especially family gatherings.
A visitation will be held on Sunday August 4, 2024 from 2:00 -4:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 5, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville, with Fr. Anthony Batt presiding. There will be a visitation from 9-10 AM at the funeral home prior to mass. Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Cancer Association; EverHeart Hospice or The Brethren’s Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund.
