Dear Sylvia and family,

I just found out last night (Thursday) that Chester had passed away.  I'm so sorry that I didn't know before the visitation and funeral.  I have many fond memories of Chester and your whole family, growing up at Happy Corner Church.  Hayrides out at the farm in Trotwood, youth group advisor, taking our youth group to National Youth Conference at Glorieta, NM.  You all have my deepest sympathy, but we know where Chester is now, and there's no more suffering for him.

Isaiah 40:31   
...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

You are all in my prayers.

Sylvia,  I want you know what a great loss it is to so many in the passing of Chester.  He was such a wonderful christan man and a true disciple of Christ.  I have wonderful memories  of the days when you attended Ansonia ch. and the love,friendship and teachings he gave me.  My love and prayers are with you and your families.

To All of Chester's family we extend our sympathy. So geateful to Chester for all his help in providing Bibles for the students in Steve & Cindy Shoop's adult Bible school in Africa. What a blessing!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family in this time of sorrow and loss.  I have so many childhood memories of Chester, that I am unable to choose just one.  He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

There is a big absence in our life now with Chester gone to be in his new home with his Lord. I know that he is in his glory. I am happy for him. Sad for us. He was a wonderful blessing in our life. If we had never met and admired him so much I am sure that Jason would not be in our life today. We are forever thankful to God for the Rice family. May God continue to bless you with happy times with family and fellowship with others Sylvia.

Sylvia, may the Almighty God be with you and your family at this time. I know Chester is with him! Talking with my brother this evening brought back fond Memories of growing up with the Rice brothers on the Family farm On Post Town Road.50 years ago.

Dear Sylvia and Family, Its been many years since we have communicated. My Name is " Randy Randall" the other like adopted son of Harriet and Chet Rice. They Lived on the corner, remember, and Chet and Jonnie the" Sons' were my mentors growing up. Oh the stories I could tell but they were all good .I was with the Rescue the day Jonnie died, so sorry. Chet was driving the tractor in the hay field the day we baled up a Bumble bees nest and I went home with my eyes swollen shut. He was one of the best of our friends. Time has a way of getting away from us, sorry we didnt stay closer.well with His passing Chet is in the Hands of our Lord and never to go through anymore trials of this earth. May God bless you in your grief and be happy for this person you had for at least 57years+, but we will still miss him Randy
