Chester was born April 14, 1943, in Brodhead, Kentucky, to the late Andrew A. & Rosie B. (Benge) Bryant. In addition to his parents, Chester was also preceded in death by his grandson, Wayne Reel; brother, Russell Bryant; brothers-in-law, Don Ditton, and David Stinnett; niece, Lauren Bryant; and a nephew, Tony Bryant.
Chester is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patty Ann (Young) Bryant whom he married April 11, 1974; daughters & son-in-law, Cheryl Reel and Mary & Joe Arnett; grandchildren, Natashua, Catherine, Caleb, David, Dean, Carl and Abbie; 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Violet “Vi” & Wayne Graham, Vurna Stinnett, Dillard & Judy Bryant, Dewey & Michelle Bryant, Beulah Ditton, Glen & Debra Bryant, Glenda & Albert Case, Wendell & Bonnie Bryant and Christine & Mike Lind; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chester retired in 1996 from Sunoco Products in Piqua with 37 years in maintenance and owned rental properties with his wife, Patty. Chester enjoyed gardening, NASCAR Racing, and working outdoors.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Glen Bryant, Albert Case and Jeff Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
