June Louisa Parker

June Louisa Parker, 98, of Greensburg, passed away on January 10, 2024. She was born on November 24, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of William Thomas and Dorothy Louisa (Hooke) Hart. June was a 1944 graduate of Lewistown High School in Maine. She married James R. Parker on December 30, 1946 and together they had two children: David and Louisa. June was a homemaker until her children were older and then she went to college at Ivy Tech and graduated with a Nursing Degree, in 1984. Over the years, she worked at local nursing homes and the hospital until she retired in 1999. June attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her Son, David Parker; Sister, Mary LaPointe; Grandchildren, Tina Warren, Jim Parker, Ryan Parker, Kim Caramela-Lindemann, Natalie Lykins, and Nicholas Scheele; several Great and Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband James R. Parker; Daughter, Louisa Mae Scheele; Granddaughter, Alissa H. Caramela; Grandson, Jason Caramela; Brothers, John Hart, Tom Hart, and Roddy Hart; Sisters, Barbara Perry, Dot Koch, Nancy LaPointe and Edith Coulliard.

June did not want any public services to be done. She donated her body to Indiana University School of Medicine. The family request that you light a candle in her memory.
