Joseph R. Cramer, 94 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Morning Breeze Nursing Home. Joe was born on January 18, 1919 in Decatur County, the son of William H. and Leona Cramer. He was a 1938 graduate of the New Point High School. Joe worked most of his life as a farmer and also worked in maintenance at several area factories. He was a lifelong member of the Sandcreek Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his four daughters- Janice L. Cramer of Greensburg, Virginia “Ginny” (Robert) Stewart of Battle Ground, IN, Wanda (Robert) VanBuskirk of Indianapolis, and Teresa (David) Baker of Greensburg. He is also survived by his companion Patsy Hitchell, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Wehr-Cramer, his parents, two sisters - Elsie and Norma Bate, three Brothers - William, Edward, and Noel Cramer, and one granddaughter.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Sunday, April 14 from 2PM – 4PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Joe’s funeral service will be on Monday, April 15 at 10AM also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp Pool Fund or to the donor’s choice.
