David Jay Gray

David Jay Gray, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 7, 2024. He was born on August 28, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of David F. Cantu, Jr and Kathleen Tatum White. He enlisted at the age of 17 and proudly served in the United States Marines, receiving a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. On July 12, 1997 he married Patricia Hermesch. David worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion. David enjoyed traveling and going to flea markets. He loved his cats.

Survivors include: wife, Patricia Gray; father-in-law, Ralph Hermesch; two cousins; and the extended Hermesch family. David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel L. White; and aunt, Jessica Hayes.
