  Daryl's my very best friend from high school. Are friendship started in band class where he would tell me "You cant play the clarinet any more than you can fly." He was was right and we would just laugh. Laugh and laugh Daryl had a way to make you smile no matter how down you might be. My happiest moments in life was with Daryl those years we were together. A few years after graduation life got in the way and we drifted apart, but I never stopped thinking about him.
I know we told each other countless times how much we loved each other, but it is never enough times. I wish I had know he was ill. I wish I had been there and told him I loved him one last time. He will be forever in my heart.

So sorry to see this.  Daryl graduated a year ahead of me but we shared memories from the music dept at SDHS and I will never forget him from Bye Bye Birdie where he was the lead.  I enjoyed him so much as a dear friend and am sad I had lost track of him after high school.  He was always so fun and so kindhearted.  A very special friend from school days.  Praying for his family.  

Daryl was such a special friend.  I enjoyed getting to know him at Edward Jones.  We often shared lunch at La Hacienda for our great love of their chicken soup.  He was such a joy to be around.  I will certainly miss him as a friend first then a client.

From the moment Daryl walked into my office I was struck by his sincerity, compassion and kindness.  A man who gave back and gave to others the strength and encouragement they needed for their journey.  I am so grateful for the gift of Daryl to all of us here at Community South!  Thoughts and prayers to all of you as you celebrate all of his goodness he gave to this world.

It has been said, "Many people can leave their marks on your life, but only a few can leave their marks on your heart." Daryl touched my life in so many ways-his quirky sense of humor, his gentle loving spirit and his strong faith in God. I am so grateful to God for the gift of our friendship. He often shared with me his belief "If you really want to receive joy and happiness, then serve others with all your heart." This was how he lived his life! Whenever there was someone in need, Daryl saw an opportunity for kindness, and to make a difference. Those inspiring words will live on in my heart. May your beautiful soul rest in peace. Daryl was a gem of a man and had a wonderful smile and a heart to be very helpful to others who crossed his path.

It was an honor to work with Daryl  Thompson at Bridges of Indiana. He was such an amazing individual, which he always was thoughtful of others. Daryl, taught me to always  stay positive, no matter the circumstances or obstacles we're face in life. Thank you Daryl, for being a great leader and mentor to me.

Daryl Thompson, will be extremely missed. He had a smile that could brighten an entire room. My condolences to his family and friends. 

I'm so glad now that we took this selfie together because I know you didn't love to take pictures.  The weather was so gross this day, and I'm glad we didn't let that stop us.  I have more memories to list than it probably lets me say, but your phone calls were always a highlight of my day when we worked together.  Eating at Culver's, meeting up all over central Indiana, hearing you say "A day without talking to Kaity Kirby is like a day without....", threatening to eat the entire pan of Andy's green bean casserole, enjoying Steak n Shake garlic steakburgers more than fancy entrees at Tony's, and so many more.  Thank you for being such a great friend.

This is a picture at Red Robin.  We went there so much and always enjoyed meeting up at different restaurants.  You cared so much about Pim and our other foreign exchange students as well as the rest of our family.  You always asked how everyone was doing, and it meant a lot that you cared so much.

This is how I will always remember you, Daryl - with a big smile and being full of joy.  You brought so much joy to my life with all of our goofy phone calls and conversations.  This picture makes me think of you calling Henry a beefcake, which had us all laughing that day!!  Joe will miss you so much.  Andy and Mercedes always loved visiting with you and Joe too.

I had the honor and privilege to work with Daryl for many years at Bridges, he was a wonderful co -worker and an even better friend . His positivity brightened every room.  He will be missed beyond measure . My thoughts and prayers go out to his family . Rest easy,  love u always 🙏💜

I first met Daryl as his nurse and we instantly clicked.  I soon  introduced him to my husband and it was like we all had been life long friends. A favorite memory:  Last year he wanted Mexican food but he didn’t feel like going out. We took food over and had a lovely evening. I was so pleased to see him eat every morsel! I laughed when I asked if he had napkins and he directed me to a drawer in his kitchen. He had taken a roll of paper towels and tore off the sheets- 1/2 sheets were in the back of the drawer and full sheets in the front. I kidded him about being a neat freak! Daryl had the kindest and sweetest soul. I loved spending time with him and Joe. I’m  shocked at his passing so I can’t even imagine how the family must feel. The world lost a beautiful person but heaven gained such a lovely angel.   I miss you my friend.
