Bonnie Jean Dotson, 84, of Greensburg passed away on September 30, 2014. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Corydon, Indiana the daughter of Maggie and Alva A. Brown, Sr. Bonnie was a 1949 graduate of Corydon High School. She married Samuel M. Dotson on July 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1990. She was a homemaker and secretary and bookkeeper for Greensburg Hardware and Hatchery and Interstate Shell and Service Station. Bonnie was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church; she was baptized by Rev. Glen Seaman and received the Holy Ghost in 1984.
Survivors include: Daughters- Sandra Ann (Terry) Wagner, Rose (Daniel) Flodder, Betty (the late- Dale) Kessens; Grandchildren-Sherry (Kevin) Poling, Terry (Denise) Wagner, Jr., Charles (Andrea) Flodder, Toni (Tony) Lecher, Holly (Jason) Roell, Annie Kessens, Alexandria Kessens; Great Grandchildren- Eric (Brittany) Poling, Heidi (Matt) Massingale, Emily Poling, Molly Poling, Mason Lee Wagner, Madison Denise Wagner, Samuel Flodder, Roman Flodder, Landan Lecher, Ryan Roell, Aubree Roell, Iris Young; Great Great Grandchild- Eleanor Poling. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, and her siblings- Jessie Timberlake, Oletha Stepro, Elsworth Henry Brown, Norma Miller, Robert Brown, Alva Brown Jr., Frances Brown, and Dude Mugler.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Apostolic Church, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 am. Rev. Todd Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
