Yvonne Morton Cox

Yvonne Morton Cox, 92, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Friday February 18, 2022 at Wesley Long Hospital. She was born June 3, 1929 in Guilford County, the daughter of Jacob Reeves and Ola Mae Watson Morton.

Yvonne was a former employee Rezicker Book Binding Co. that use to be in Greensboro. She was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church, a former Sunday school teacher and also worked in the Nursery Depart.

She was married to Carmie O. Cox who preceded her in death on August 30, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her seven brothers and sisters.

Yvonne is survived by her sons, Carmie David Cox and wife Carol of Lexington, Ronald “Ron” O. Cox and wife Li Yu of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Brenda Nichols and husband Chris, David Cox; two great grandchildren, Deliah Cox, Asher Cox and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 28, 2022 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Marvin Patterson. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
