William Robert Honeycutt Jr. 65, of Browns Summit, passed away after years of declining health. His life will be celebrated in the memorial garden of St. Francis Episcopal Church at 11 AM with open wake to follow at Stumble Stilskins, Greensboro, NC at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
He was born in Wilmington, NC to the late William and Maude Noe Honeycutt. Bob graduated from Page High School, received his bachelor’s degree in education from NC State University (Go Pack) and a degree in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T University. After a successful career with Electric Service and Sales Inc, he retired in 2015. The best times of Bob’s life were spent with his family on their 20-acre hobby farm in Browns Summit. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and watch the wildlife. He leaves his children with the legacy of the importance of hard work and a reputable character. Bob will be remembered as a generous man who was willing to help others and wonderful father who encouraged his children to pursue their goals.
He leaves behind his children, Walt Honeycutt and wife Natalie of Hickory and Maggie Honeycutt of Browns Summit; granddaughters, Gina Gibson, Katherine Honeycutt and a new baby girl Charlotte due in January; brother, David Honeycutt and wife Cathy of Pleasant Garden; and sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Stultz of Greensboro. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Katherine Walters.
