Mr. Troy Melvin Pegram, 78, a resident of Randleman died Friday January 11, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Mr. Pegram was born July 2, 1934 in Guilford County, the son of June Washington and Ellen Blair Pegram. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Deluxe Check Printers in Greensboro. He was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
Mr. Pegram was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Jenkins Pegram; his parents; three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Lynn of FL; one son, Gary Allen Pegram of Kernersville; four stepchildren, Jody Hess and husband LaMarr of Danville, VA, Marie White and husband Harold of Randleman, Richard “Ricky” Dale and wife Donna of Randleman, Larry Dale of Troy; four sisters, Peggy Pegram of Greensboro, Sarah Williard of Greensboro, Elizabeth Joyner and husband Richard of Greensboro, Judy Adylette and husband Bill of Greensboro; two brothers, Richard Pegram and wife Dorothy of High Point, Lindsey Pegram and wife Ann of Stokesdale, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend Michael Barrett. Interment with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 122 N.
