Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Steven was born July 20, 1952 to Mary Pegram and the late June W. Pegram, Jr. and was of the Baptist faith. Steven worked for Carolina Aluminum before his health began to fail. He liked the great outdoors and enjoyed motorcycling, water skiing, fishing, and go-kart racing. Steven was an avid NASCAR fan and loved classic country music, especially his favorite artist, Willie Nelson. He was a loving and devoted, son, husband, father, and grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Pegram.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Mary Pegram of Pleasant Garden; sons, Jeremy and Jason Pegram, both of Greensboro; granddaughter, Emrie Pegram of Greensboro; step-daughter, Debbie Handley of Greensboro; step-son, Alan Handley of Greensboro; brothers, Ronald Pegram and his wife Michelle of Brown Summit; H. David Pegram of Greensboro; nephews, Ronnie Pegram, Jr. and wife Hiedi, Daniel Pegram of Greensboro, Thomas Pegram of Greensboro, and Tony Pegram of Texas; and nieces, Amanda Pegram of Brown Summit and Samantha Pegram of Florida.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday evening at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel in Greensboro.
