Steve was a private, modest, and humble man who would not want to be recognized for his many accomplishments. He was a compassionate, loving and committed man who selflessly raised his brothers and sister. He was a proud graduate and Dean’s List student at Florida Southern College in Lakeland , FL, earning in a BS in biology and mathematics. Following college he admirably served our country during Vietnam as an US Army Infantryman and 2nd Lieutenant. He passionately worked for over 30 years as a highly respected and admired senior technical sales representative at BASF Corporation. Following his retirement he started his own consulting firm, Coast to Coast Consulting.
Steve was happiest outdoors and regularly climbed multiple mountains, to include the highest peak in the lower 48 states at the ripe age of 69. He regularly attended and was a member of Hope Chapel of Greensboro, NC where he came to know the Lord late in life. We are all confident he will rest in peace.
Steve was a dedicated father, husband and friend and will be sorely missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lyall and Virginia Bearg Bryant, and his step-granddaughter, Caroline Woodlief. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Tamara Stroup Bryant; his children Steven and Shawn Bryant; his step-children Celeste Murphy and Brad Short; his grandchildren Aliyah, MacKenzie, Sheridan, Nathan, Hayleigh, and Jadyn Bryant; his step-grandchildren Stephen, Eli, Isaac, Isaiah Woodlief and Aaran Short; siblings Marsha, Daniel, Kevin and Robert Bryant.
