Stanley Eugene Padgett, Sr. 60, a resident of Franklinville, Louisiana passed away on Monday May 1, 2023. He was born June 12, 1962 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the son of John Harold Padgett, Sr. and Ann Beatrice Warren Padgett.
Stanley worked as an automotive mechanic and also remodeling houses. He was very talented and creative in woodworking and metalworking.. Stanley enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, going fishing and just having a great time with family and friends. Stanley had a heart of gold and would do anything to help another in need.
He was preceded in death by his father; his daughter, Jessica M. Padgett; a youngest brother, John M. Padgett I and sister-in-law, Sinea and a grandson, Justin A. Padgett, Jr.
Surviving are his sons, Stan Padgett Jr. and wife Ann of Climax, N.C., Josh Padgett and wife Amanda of Pinnacle, N.C., Justin Padgett, Sr. and wife Tara of Carriere, MS, Brandon Padgett and wife Brelyn of Slidell, LA, Dalton Padgett and wife Alyssa of Picayune, MS; grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother, Ann B. Padgett of Jamestown, N.C.; sister, Sandra Loftin and husband Gerald of Conover,N.C., sister, Carol Davis and husband Mark of Winston-Salem,N.C., sister Nina Ashley and husband Robert of Cisco, TX, brother John H. Padgett, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Conover, N.C., sister Donna Griffin and husband David Jr. of Jamestown, N.C., brother, Charles Rankin and wife Frances of Taylorsville, MS and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 18, 2023 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Michael Fulp, Jr. Entombment will follow in the Sedgefield Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
