Sarah Bell Sowers

Sarah Jean Bell Sowers, 93, passed away on February 17, 2021 at Adams Farm Living & Rehabilitation. She was born on June 5, 1927 to Clay H. Bell and Grace McNeil Bell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Richard Sowers, son Rick Sowers, granddaughter Sherry Sowers, and brother Franklin Delano Bell.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Sowers, Cathy Toole (Rob), and Marty Webb (Mike); son, William Sowers; six grandchildren, Jimmy Koon, Camille Rivers (Jeff), Beverly Horne, April Greene (Donald), Katie Webb-York (Zach), Chris Sowers and 12 great-grandchildren, Annabelle Wedall, Heather Wedall, Bryce Rivers, Aiden Rivers, Devan Rivers, Ginny Rivers, Adrian Horne, Jayvon Horne, Zalen Crawford, Kyleigh Greene, Noah Greene and Maxie Kate York.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday February 27, 2021 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a visitation will not take place.
