Sammy (Sam) Franklin Pendergraph, 78, of Greensboro, NC died peacefully at Beacon Place Hospice House on December 1, 2023. Born in Durham County, he was the son of the late Jethro Franklin Pendergraph and Sarah Harward Pendergraph. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Pendergraph McKay and Patsy Pendergraph Oakley.
Sam retired from IBM after 29 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, NASCAR and working in his garage.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Pendergraph of the home; step children Deborah Gessner (Carl), Judy Nikolich (Greg) and Andrew Bahl; grandchildren Thomas, Margaret, Luka, Gregory and Talia; brothers Donald Pendergraph (Frankie) of Apex and Douglas Pendergraph (BeBe) of Rougemont.
Memorial service will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services on Sunday, December 17 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The family will receive visitors at 1 o’clock.
