To my American family,

Hereby I would like to offer my condolence to my Gordon family.

Although the fact that I didn't have the change to be on time in person at the ceremony, I have been thinking about Mr Gordon and the whole Gordon family a lot the last days. 
That brought back all the good memories
Bob offered me the change to live with you in Dunwoody when I needed some time off. He took me under his wings and changed me from a young guy into a young man. 
The one liner he always told to me was; never walk away from a problem but face it and solve it.
That is the golden tip, that I still use every day, from a golden person who needs to be framed in gold and that's how I will remember you.

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING FOR MR. GORDON IN THE EXPORT GROUP AT GEORGIA-PACIFIC!  HE WAS AN AMAZING BOSS AND ALWAYS A LOT OF FUN.  OUR GROUP HAD HIS RETIRMENT PARTY AT MY HOME.  IT WAS AN HONOR AND PRIVILEDGE TO WORK FOR HIM.  HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND HE WILL BE MISSED.  PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY!

To the Gordon family
We are very sorry that only last night we learned that Bob has passed away, reason why we cannot make it in time to get to the funeral. We feel we ought to be there, but planes do not fly at times as we would like it.
For certain this is an enormous loss for Betty and the whole Gordon family.  Bob was not only a friend for us, but more like a family member. Also for us we have lost in him a phenomenal person, one could always count on.
Once, about thirty years ago, we had trouble with one of our sons (Koen) when Bob was with us, “send him over to us” he said without even consulting Betty. So we did, this was the start of an intense friendship with the Gordon family. Bob was like a father for Koen and so contributed to his career. The Gordons were present at his wedding, we felt honored having them as guests. Later our youngest son, Pelle, also came over for a short time.
Over the years we travelled a lot together, not only for business, but sometimes also for pleasure. Years ago we went sailing together in the Greek waters for a week, a nice experience we won't forget.
Bob was for his friends and colleagues a warm and understanding person, who always would find time for one another. He will always have a warm place in our hearts. And we hope that we, for years to come, can keep our friendship with the Gordons.
Bob will always be in our thoughts.

I am so honored to have met you through the Moores.  They think the world of you and so do I, you are such great people and have been such wonderful friends to Kent and Dot.  Bob will be missed very much!  
I love hearing all the stories from Trent, Susan and Mark from years ago...they loved it when Bob would throw them in the lake and they all have such great memories about Bob and your time together.

This is one of the sweetest, nicest man we've ever had the privilege of knowing.  From the first day we met,and I'll never forget that day, we felt as though we had one great guy for a friend.  And the good times we've had thru the years will always be treasured memories.  Rest in peace, Bob, and know you'll never be forgotten.
