Richard Dean Moore

Richard Dean Moore, 78, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Friday April 20, 2018 at the Moses H. Cone Hospital. He was born August 26, 1939 in Guilford County, the son of Rass and Reba Greer Moore.

Richard was a fireman and retired from the Greensboro Fire Department and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Richard was married to Janette Gonneville Moore who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are two daughters, Ronda Moore Cox of Greensboro, Tammy Moore Brodycz and husband Mark of Greensboro; three brothers, Donald Ray Moore and wife Juanita of Greensboro, Buddy Leroy Moore and wife Donna of Greensboro, Jackie Sparr Moore of Brown Summit; five grandchildren, Derrick Cox, Amber Moore, Alisha Fletcher, Carrie Cox, Natalie Jones; four great grandchildren, Savannah Young, Aiva Cox, Myles Cox, Malcolm Cox and a special friend, Joyce Parrish of Greensboro.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend J.R. Gossett. Military Honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. until service time.
