Raymond Howard Barbee Jr.

Raymond Howard Barbee, Jr., 51, a resident of Archdale, passed away on Sunday July 24, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital. He was born April 18, 1965 in Greensboro the son of Raymond Howard Barbee, Sr. and Cecilia Leftwich Barbee.

Raymond was a graduate of Trinity High School, Class of 1983. He loved collecting and putting together scale models and was a huge Carolina Panther fan. He volunteered at the food pantry and clothes closet at Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three sisters, Mary Lynn Jessup and husband Chuck of Archdale, Sherry Jones and husband Hudson of Lexington, Beth Barbee of Archdale; one brother, James R. Barbee and wife Jody of Maysville, SC; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate Raymond’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by the Reverend Keith Edwards, Pastor Rodney Otwell and Chris Gillespie. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
